Key Features and Benefits:
- Low Odour Formulation: Tailored to reduce the discomfort and health concerns associated with strong chemical odors, making it suitable for use in confined spaces and areas with poor ventilation without sacrificing performance.
- High pH Level (13.5-14.0): The high pH level indicates a strong alkaline solution, enabling the stripper to quickly penetrate and dissolve multiple layers of floor finish, effectively reducing labor and time for floor stripping tasks.
- Minimal Foam Production: Unlike traditional floor finish removers, Step Down is engineered to produce little to no foam during application. This feature facilitates easier pick-up, reduces the need for excessive rinsing, and accelerates the overall stripping process.
- Concentrated Formula: With a recommended dilution ratio of 12 oz. per gallon of water, this concentrated formula allows for efficient use of the product, covering a large area with less product, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Quick and Effective: Designed to rapidly penetrate and lift heavy build-ups of floor finish, reducing the effort and time typically required for stripping floors, and enabling faster turnaround for refinishing tasks.
- Versatile Application: Suitable for a variety of flooring types where finishes are applied, including vinyl composite tile (VCT), terrazzo, and linoleum, among others. It's essential to test a small area for compatibility before full application.
- Packaging: Sold in cases of 4, each containing 3.78 liters (approximately 1 gallon), providing ample supply for large-scale or repeated floor stripping projects.
Application Guidelines:
- Dilution: Mix 12 ounces of Step Down Floor Stripper with each gallon of water. Adjust the concentration as needed based on the condition of the floor finish.
- Application: Apply the solution generously to the floor using a mop or automatic scrubber. Allow sufficient dwell time for the stripper to penetrate the layers of finish.
- Agitation: For best results, agitate the solution on the floor with a scrubbing machine or stripping pad to help break up the finish.
- Removal: Once the finish is loosened, remove the solution and old finish with a wet vacuum, automatic scrubber, or mop. Ensure thorough removal to prevent residue.
- Rinsing: Rinse the floor with clean water to neutralize the high pH and remove any remaining stripper or finish residue, preparing the floor for a new finish application.
